2009 Is Cleveland’s Fourth Opportunity to Host
the Nation’s Most Prestigious Figure Skating Event!


1940 marked the first time the U.S. Figure Skating Championships were held in Cleveland. Then, Peggy Fleming won her first National Championship here in 1964. In 2000, the State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships hosted by Cleveland was the most successful event produced in Nationals history, setting new records for attendance and drawing accolades from participating coaches, competitors, parents and spectators.

In 2009, the U.S. Figure Skating Championships return to Cleveland for eight electrifying days to crown 12 national champions in Ladies, Men’s, Pairs and Ice Dancing on the senior, junior and novice levels.
